Synopsis: This novel tells the story of a young Anglican Vicar named Mark Brian who is sent to a very remote parish in British Columbia. Unbeknownst to him, he is dying and the Bishop makes the decision to send him to the hardest parish so that he may learn the meaning of life.

Review: This is a novel which takes the reader on a journey into a different time, amongst a small, remote tribe of people in British Columbia.

You meet an array of people with different stories, different personalities and different life views. You will fall in love with them all! We, the reader, travel with Mark through time, learning new skills, forging new relationships, learning about a long-forgotten culture, and yes, the meaning of life.

The author spent a great deal of time with a tribe similar to the one that she writes about which gives the reader an amazing insight into a little-known tribe and their cultures and beliefs. This makes for an incredible read and a not-to-be-missed novel. It is a story about hope, love lost and found, and the circle of life.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to read an action packed novel peppered with moment of laughter and more than a few tears! The novel is suitable for young adults and adults.
